Technical Training Manager

On behalf of one of its clients, People First Consult PLC is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Technical Training Manager.

Job brief

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting plant performance by designing, coordinating, delivering, and administering effective performance-based technical training programs. The role involves facilitating both on-the-job and classroom-based learning initiatives while working closely with operational leaders, HR teams, and subject matter experts to strengthen workforce capability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate technical training programs across the plant.
  • Update and maintain training materials to ensure relevance, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Prepare training outlines, lesson plans, manuals, presentations, and hands-on learning materials.
  • Work closely with leadership teams to identify training needs aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR, line managers, and subject matter experts to develop and implement training initiatives and best practices.
  • Support onboarding and integration of new employees into relevant technical training programs.
  • Utilize modern instructional methods and learning technologies, including e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.
  • Establish and maintain training schedules, records, and learning calendars.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, proficiency testing, and performance analysis.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to training programs and delivery methods.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience facilitating on-the-job or technical training programs.
  • Strong understanding of technical training methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
