We Are Looking

For Hands-on Distribution Supervisors with strong experience in key wholesale markets, including: Merkato (Addis Ababa) & Dire Dawa wholesale hubs.

Position Summary

The Distribution Supervisors will be responsible for managing distributor performance, driving sales growth, ensuring effective inventory control, and strengthening relationships with key wholesale markets and strategic customers. The role is critical in expanding market coverage and ensuring strong product availability across assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily operations and performance of assigned distributors

- Drive sales growth and ensure achievement of distribution and sales targets

- Monitor distributor inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking

- Ensure accurate sales reporting and performance tracking

- Identify and manage operational and commercial risks, including distributor compliance and brand protection

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale markets, traders, and strategic customers (e.g., Merkato and other major hubs)

- Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage

- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to support decision-making

- Conduct regular market visits to distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts to ensure execution excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field

- Minimum 4 years of experience in FMCG sales, distribution, channel management, or trade marketing

- Proven experience in supervising distributors and managing inventory performance

- Strong understanding of Ethiopia’s traditional trade and wholesale distribution network

- Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and relationship management skills

- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory

Preferred Profile (Strong Advantage)

- Hands-on experience with key wholesale markets (Merkato – Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa wholesale hubs)

- Prior FMCG experience with reputable local or multinational companies

- Demonstrated success in sales growth, distributor management, and market expansion

- Strong knowledge of route-to-market execution and distributor operations

- Ability to identify and manage commercial and operational risks
